The hot stick heats the water through friction. This is how...

• water passes through the hot sticks at a high speed and is then forced through small sections;
• this process forces the water molecules to collide with one another, which creates friction, kinetic energy and heat;
• water from these hot valves then meets in an open chamber where a vortex is created which causes the water to rotate extremely quickly causing even more kinetic energy, friction and heat.

The hot stick process heats the water without additional electricity and avoids the problems that can occur in normal normal heating elements, such as can corrosion and scaling.
