The Madrid hot tub's insulation system features the revolutionary, eco-friendly 'BlueMAAX®' insulation. Made from recycled natural fiber and approved by the U.S. Green Building Council.
This evironmentally friendly insulation:
- replaces the urethane foam commonly used in "foam filled" hot tubs which can produce as much as 50 lbs. of environmentally harmful volatile organic components (VOC's);
- allows for easy service access and can be taken out and put back together to factory specifications by any qualified service engineer;
- contains no chemical irritants;
- is treated with a borate-based solution to prevent mould or mildew growth;
- prevents pest infestation;
- acts as a fire retardant.
This is the ultimate in sound and heat energy management for your hot tub. The unique thermal barrier recycles radiant heat energy for faster, more efficient heating and energy cost reductions.
In addition to insulating the hot tub shell, radiant heat reflective insulation combined with BlueMAAX® is also applied to the sealed ABS base and sides of the hot tub. This prohibits heat loss through the floor and sides and create an infrared thermal barrier so that heat energy from the pumps and equipment reflects back to the spa and is absorbed into the plumbing, thus raising and helping to maintain water temperature and improving heat efficiency.
