Low acidity 20g chlorine tablets from the premium surespa range of hot tub products.
The stabilizer used to manufacture chlorine tablets can be very acidic and so, with continual use, there is a risk of acid damage to your hot tub seals and equipment. This is particularly true if the tablets are allowed to come into direct contact with any surface of the tub, filter or skimmer basket.
These 20g chlorine tablets are significantly less acidic than many others so they will reduce the risk of acid damage and, when used in a floating dispenser (or a dispenser built-in to your hot tub specifically for use with chlorine tablets) they provide a safe and convenient method of continuous chlorine dosing.
The tablets will dissolve slowly over a period of 3-5 days, dependent on the water temperature, the flow rate and the bacteria load in the hot tub, so they are ideal for maintaining a constant chlorine concentration in the water. However, when relying on chlorine tablets to sanitize your hot tub it will be necessary to apply an initial dose of chlorine granules to initially achieve the required chlorine level. Chlorine tablets are then ideal for maintaining the level without the need for daily checking
Adjust the tablet dispenser to maintain a chlorine level between 3 - 5 ppm.
Never apply chlorine tablets directly to the hot tub water or directly into the skimmer basket.
NB : It is important to maintain a pH level of 7.2 - 7.8 whilst using chlorine to sanitize your spa. Outside of this range the chlorine will not sanitize effectively.
